Student Volunteers (Counselors)
Now accepting applications! High school students are invited to apply to become camp counselors and earn community service hours.
Camp counselors work alongside medical professionals and community volunteers to create a safe, fun camp environment and guide campers through a variety of activities. Counselors will learn about asthma and health, gain
experience working with children and earn up to 30 community service hours.
Counselor Requirements - New counselors attend a zoom interview on Wednesday, July 16th or Thursday, July 17th
- Attend Orientation on Thursday, July 31, 2:00 to 4:00 pm
- Attend Camp Monday, August 4 through Friday, August 8, 7:30 am – 1:00 pm
- Enjoy working with children
- Energetic and friendly
Counselor Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of camp each day
- Oversee a small group of campers as they rotate through different activities
- Engage campers in activities and games
- Ensure campers follow all camp safety guidelines and help create a safe, fun environment
- Be a role model for campers
Volunteer positions fill up fast! Submit your application as soon as possible and no later than Friday, July 4.
